Sooeys’ Sloppy Joe
Serves 4
Ingredients
- 1 lb. ground beef, sirloin, turkey, or chicken.
- 1 1/2 cups of Original Sooey Sauce
- 1/2 cup of sweet onion
- 1/2 cup of Green Pepper
- 1-2 cloves of garlic
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions
1) Saute chopped onion, green pepper, and garlic for 5-7min.
2) Add ground beef, salt and pepper to taste, and brown over medium low heat.
3) Drain mixture of fat, then combine Original Sooey Sauce and beef mixture to pan, and
simmer for 15-20min over med low heat. Add salt & pepper to taste. Serve on
your favorite soft roll or even a hot dog with
diced onions.
Sooeys’ Slow Cooked Chicken
Serves 6-8
Ingredients
- 1 (4 pound) whole chicken
- 1 (18 ounce) bottle Original Sooey Sauce
Directions
- Put chicken, legs up, into slow cooker. Pour sauce over and inside the chicken. Cover.
- Cook for 8 to 10 hours on low setting.
- Cut or pull and serve with Original Sooey Sauce.
Sooeys' Slow Cooked Pork Chops
Serves 8
Ingredients
- 8 pork chops
- 1 (18 ounce) bottle Original Sooey Sauce
Directions
- Pour a thin layer of Original Sooey Sauce on the bottom of a slow cooker. Alternately layer pork chops with Original Sooey Sauce, pouring the remainder of the bottle over the top of the chops.
- Cook on HIGH setting for 3 to 4 hours, or 6 to 8 hours on LOW setting.
Sooeys' Slow Cooked Pulled Pork
Serves 4-6
Ingredients
- 1 (2 pound) boneless pork loin
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 1/2 cup Original Sooey Sauce
- Your Favorite sandwich buns
Directions
- Combine all ingredients into a slow-cooker; cook, covered, on low for 8-10 hours, until very tender.
- Drain and shred pork; serve on buns with Original Sooey Sauce.
Sooeys' Roast Beef Sammich
Serves 5
Ingredients
- 2 cups thin slices cooked roast beef
- 1 (18 ounce) bottle Original Sooey Sauce
- 5 Kaiser rolls, split (Sooey likes Onion rolls)
- Provolone Cheese slices
Directions
- In a saucepan, combine beef and Original Sooey Sauce; heat through. Serve on rolls and top with Provolone cheese.
Sooeys' Famous Pot Pie
Serves 8
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1 clove garlic (chopped)
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 2 (15 ounce) cans baked beans with pork
- 1 cup Original Sooey Sauce
- 1 cup biscuit baking mix
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup Green Onion tops
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Crumble the ground beef into a large skillet over medium heat. When it is starting to brown, stir in the onion and garlic, season with pepper. Continue to cook and stir until beef is browned and the onion is tender.
- Drain off the grease from the beef, and stir in the baked beans, 1 cup of Original
Sooey Sauce. Transfer to a large casserole dish. In a separate bowl, mix together the baking mix, milk and egg. Pour this mixture evenly over the beef and beans in the dish.
- Bake for 40 to 45 minutes in the preheated oven, until the biscuit topping is golden brown. Spread a small amount of Original Sooey Sauce over the top and sprinkle with Cheddar cheese and Green onion tops while hot from the oven.
Sooeys' Chicken Salad
Serves 8
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
- 1/2 cup Original Sooey Sauce
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup Sour Cream
- 1/2 cup finely chopped green onion and tops
- 1/2 cup chopped celery
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 8 Kaiser rolls, split (Sooey likes Onion rolls)
- 8 tomato slices
- 8 lettuce leaves
Directions
- Place the chicken in a large re-sealable plastic bag; add Original Sooey Sauce.
Seal the bag and turn to coat. Refrigerate overnight.
- Grill chicken, covered, over medium-hot heat for 6-8 minutes on each side or until juices run clear. Cool; cover and refrigerate chicken until chilled.
- Chop chicken; place in a bowl. Stir in the mayonnaise, sour cream, onion, celery, salt and pepper flakes. Serve on rolls with tomato and lettuce.
Sooeys' Shrimp Dip
Serves 10
Ingredients
- 1 (18 ounce) bottle Original Sooey Sauce
- 6 tablespoons prepared horseradish
- 1 lemon, juiced
Directions
- In a small bowl, blend the Original Sooey Sauce, horseradish, lemon juice. Chill before serving.
Sooeys' This Ain't Buffalo Wings
10 wings
Ingredients
- oil for deep frying
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup Original Sooey Sauce
- 1 dash ground black pepper
- 1 dash garlic powder
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 10 chicken wings
Directions
- Heat oil in a deep fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). The oil should be just enough to cover wings entirely, an inch or so deep. Combine the butter, Original Sooey Sauce, pepper and garlic powder in a small saucepan over low heat. Stir together and heat until butter is melted and mixture is well blended. Remove from heat and reserve for serving.
- In a small bowl mix together the flour, paprika, cayenne pepper and salt. Place chicken wings in a large nonporous glass dish or bowl and sprinkle flour mixture over them until they are evenly coated. Cover dish or bowl and refrigerate for 60 to 90 minutes.
- Fry coated wings in hot oil for 10 to 15 minutes, or until parts of wings begin to turn brown. Remove from heat, place wings in serving bowl, add Original Sooey Sauce mixture and stir together. Serve.
Sooeys' Southern Style Pizza
Serves 4
Ingredients
- 1 (13.8 ounce) package refrigerated pizza dough
- 1 1/2- 2 cups of Original Sooey Sauce
- 18 ounces of pulled pork or chicken
- 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup chopped green onion and tops
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F . Grease a 9x13 inch baking pan.
- Roll the dough out into the prepared pan. Top the dough with Original Sooey Sauce, pulled pork or chicken. Sprinkle with the red onions. Sprinkle cheeses evenly over the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven until crust is golden and cheese is melted, about 18 minutes.
- Garnish top with green onions and serve.
Sooeys' Chicken Calzone
Serves 4
Ingredients
- 4 slices bacon
- 1/2 small onion, chopped
- 3 cups shredded, cooked chicken breast meat
- 1 cup Original Sooey Sauce
- 1 (10 ounce) can refrigerated pizza dough
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh green onion
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
- Fry bacon in a large skillet over medium-high heat until crisp. Remove from the pan to drain on paper towels; crumble. Add the onion and shredded chicken to the hot bacon grease in the pan. Fry over medium heat until onion is tender. Stir in 1/2 cup of Original Sooey Sauce, and remove from the heat. Mix in the cooked bacon.
- Roll the pizza crust dough out onto a greased cookie sheet. Press out to an even thickness, and then cut in half. Divide the chicken mixture between the two pieces of dough, spreading on only half of each piece to within 1/2 inch of the edge. Drizzle the remaining Original Sooey Sauce over the filling. Sprinkle the cheese and green onion over the top. Fold the uncovered portion of dough over the filling, and press the edges together with a fork to seal.
- Bake for 25 minutes in the preheated oven, or until browned to your liking. Cool for a few minutes, then cut each calzone in half. Each serving is half of a calzone. Served with additional Original Sooey Sauce on
